Just finished another fabulous tour with my friend Ingvar Ronde the editor of The Malt Whisky Yearbook.
We started in Aberdeenshire at Glen Garioch and then spent the next 5 days visiting distilleries in Speyside, before ending the tour in Edinburgh via Angus and Perthshire.
There were lots of distilleries where I saw the production side for the first time and the highlights were Ardmore, Tomintoul, Dalmunach, Aultmore, Benromach, Glenrothes and Aberargie.
An extra bonus was seeing the Glencadam visitor centre a few days before its’ official opening. It’s local to us and is a stunning place to visit for a tour or a dramming and eating experience.
We’ve already started planning Ingvar’s next tour in April and as always, I am very much looking forward to it!
