1Marcus meets you in Glasgow and with your first whisky heads to Campbeltown stopping at the famous Loch Lomond for photos. Then time for lunch in the lovely wee town of Inveraray – home to the Clan Campbell, with a good pub and 2 whisky shops. If you have time take a stroll up to Inveraray Castle, a baronial French style.
This afternoon take a whisky tour of Springbank Distillery Overnight in Campbeltown, in a hotel with a large award winning whisky bar.

Day
2This morning you sample four drams at Glen Scotia Distillery rich in original features and equipment. Then sail to the isle of Islay – very famous for it’s peaty whiskies. This afternoon drop into Bowmore Distillery to purchase as many drams as you wish. Finally, you check in to your hotel in Bowmore, which has a good bar, overnight here.

3 and 4There are many distillery options for touring and dramming over the next two days: Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain, Ardnahoe, Kilchoman, Bruichladdich, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Port Ellen and Ardbeg. If you add a day to this tour you can also visit Jura Distillery on a wee island on it’s own. Overnight Bowmore. We will need to know in advance which distilleries you wish to tour.

5Leaving Islay on the morning ferry, back to the mainland and either add on to your whisky tour with a day and night on Arran, Glasgow or Edinburgh, just ask for ideas.
